Step 6: Note meta information of the data

  • “A. Data collection” sheet
      1. Domestic extraction > columns L, M and N;
      1. Imports&Exports > columns P, Q and R;
      1. Waste > columns O, P and Q;

How:

Now that you have realised and know which data you have actually used and worked with, make sure to note the meta information of the data. There is space in three columns for (1) observations, including the years and if the data needed to be calculated, (2) data quality and (3) data source URL.

Writing down the meta information around your data will help to keep an overview for yourself and others to get an idea around and quick access to your data. Moreover, this will help you to prepare for the data quality analysis.
