Step 3: Find local data to satisfy your data needs
Where:
- “A. Data collection” sheet > 1. Domestic extraction > column E;
- “A. Data collection” sheet > 2. Imports&Exports > column F;
How: Find local data for “Domestic Extraction” and “Imports&Exports” to satisfy your data needs (if you don't have it from the SCA or need additional data). Again, the materials that are not relevant for your municipality, because you have selected in Step 1 that they are not extracted, imported/or exported, respectively, are greyed out and you can ignore them going forward.
In the sheet, in the column of Step 3, note down if you have the data or not.
- If you do not have the data or cannot find it, state “no”.
- If you have found the data, state “yes” and the source (a link to the source, for example).
As an example, local data could be:
- Crop data from Eurocrop, which is satellite data and therefore very precise for your local situation
- Mining data from FINEPRINT
- from national statistics pages that have data for different spatial scales, including the municipality. To give an example, Statistics Norway has data that is broken down by municipality and and knows the “Agricultural area for selected crops (decares), by regions per 2020 (M) 1979 - 2020”.
