Data Hub processing: geospatial data
Goal: Process all your shapefiles and geospatial datasets which are present in your queues. The ones that matter especially are the ones for which you want to have reference spaces to link your other flow and stock data to in the next sections.
Approach:
The subchapters in this section describe how to convert geospatial data, which come in the form of shapefiles and geospatial spreadsheets. The data will thereby be transformed into maps and points on maps respectively, which will be centralised in your cities’ master map. At the same time, processing maps will produce “reference spaces”, or in other words a geographical system boundary, for which we will be able to associate data to.
