58. End of Life Processing Rate

Description

The End-of-Life Processing Rate (EoL PR) measures the efficiency of the end-of-life processing process.

Methodology

For each material fraction, the End-of-Life processing rate is defined as:

The End-of-Life mass recycled divided by the End-of-Life mass collected.

Rationale

Several actions of the city of Seville in the project promote the recycling of biowaste, through the installation of a separate collection system and pilot alternatives of treatment further than composting. Also, others actions such as communication campaings will be carried out in order to promote the system, his correct use and awareness about the types of material which are allowed in the "container for biowaste". This last item results in the purity of the material obtanied and therefore, in the efficiency of the recycling process.
