Rationale

The implementation of CityLoops project, mainly DA1, will contribute to increase the percentage of city population with regular solid waste collection (namely of bio-waste stream), achieving the goal of 10% of the population of the City of Porto engaged in the bio-waste separate collection.
This will allow increase the circularity of the city, since the bio-waste collected will be organically treated to produce compost that will be return to soil, closing the loop.

Baseline data / definition

The baseline to be considered will be the percentage of city population covered with regular solid waste collection (residential), highlighting and individualising the information on bio-waste collection

Data sources / relevant databases

The data needed will be provided by Porto Ambiente (DA1), from their registries of operational service.
