Hi,
I tried to process Apeldoorn's population dataset but the only reference space that is found is of Apeldoorn's railway network and not the city boundaries. I checked again if I properly processed the GIS file of Apeldoorn's city boundaries and chose the reference space, and I did.. So I do not understand what is going wrong. Can you perhaps help me with this?

Hi Madzy,
I checked and found the problem. You did have Apeldoorn's boundaries processed (from this file), but the name of the reference space was simply "1", see screenshot. So the system couldn't pick it up.
I've renamed the space for you and the system does recognise it now. You can go ahead and should be able to finish the processing.
PS: Will also respond to your other questions for which you made the list soon.

Hi Carolin,
Thanks, I get it! The mistake is very often in the details.. Regarding my list of the questions, most of them were already answered by Aristide during the session on Monday but he said he would look into a couple of questions a bit better this week, so I don't think you still need to answer these questions :-).
I do have a couple of other questions regarding my processing.. Somehow the system gives an error that it cannot read my spreadsheets. When I check and upload it, all looks fine (as far as I know..) but when I want to proceed it gives the error which you can find in the printscreen.. This is an example of the building stock in Apeldoorn but I also have it for other spreadsheets.
Also: it is possible right to use multiple material codes in one spreadsheet?
Further, I am still curious how to use the segment column properly. I checked Porto's example for the building stock (in the segment was the building year) but also there it didn't seem to work out properly in the visualisations so I am not to sure how to do this for Apeldoorn's data.
Should I wait with processing data on the Netherlands (most of my data is on that level) to see what is already present in the EuroStat datasets? Because I believe that quite a lot of the national data is already in the material flow accounts data of EuroStat.

Yes, indeed, it is all those little things.
As for the list, I've already started anyway, see here. Let's see about your other questions for now.

1) It may be that the error is simply because you spelled item in the unit column with a capital i...Do try it out and see if that does the trick. It is always best to use the spelling of the symbol columns of the unit list. If not, let us know.
2) Yes, you can use multiple material codes in one spreadsheet.
3) Segments: Have a look at the example data here, to see how segments were used for different vehicle types.
4) NL data: It is already good that you have a feeling for where/which scale you have data. Next week, you will learn how to do the data gap analysis and that will probably confirm this feeling that you don't have local data. As you know, we will then look to higher scales (NUTS, country) to fill those gaps. It could very well be that you then need to process national data. Important to know is that we do have Eurostat datasets, BUT they have not been processed yet! Therefore, they are not in the system. You will likely have to extract them. We will get there in the next 2 modules: data gaps+downscaling.

Many thanks Carolin, I will have a look at my spreadsheets again. The document is also very helpful!
